Honestly, this guy sounds like an absolute douche. He says he's looking out for you, but he really seems to just be interested in himself and his own well-being. It also seems like he enjoys having you interested in him, so he's doing all that he can to keep you interested (including making you jealous). He's seriously not worth your time at all and I personally think you should just drop him.
